    Beaver's Dance Team Is At It Again!

    Beaver’s one and only Dance Team has done it again. They have wowed the crowd with their fierce and impressive dancing skills. Holiday Hoops is a special event after school hours for the varsity basketball teams to play in the championships. Fortunately, the entire school was granted the great opportunity to witness Dance Team in action during the school day. There was a constant roaring applause throughout the whole routine. I think I can speak for the whole Dance team when I say that we did a marvelous job.

    NuVu From an Outside Perspective

    A new program has been introduced to Beaver Country Day and naturally, it is becoming very popular; NuVu. Nuvu is an innovation center for middle and high school students located at MIT College. Students create high technology projects, observations and have an experience of a life time at the fourth best school of engineering in America.

    Cum Laude: What Exactly Is It?

    November 17, 2011, was a very special day for a few seniors at Beaver Country Day School. On this day, the annual Cum Laude Ceremony took place in Bradley Hall. The Cum Laude ceremony is a special event where few students of the graduating senior class are chosen to be inducted into the national Cum Laude Society.

    Another Look at the Science Wing

    At the end of last school year, Beaver began to build the new science wing. A few weeks into September, the science wing was unveiled. This area was updated with lime green couches to hang out and do homework on, tables outside the library for studying and spending time with friends, and science class rooms equipped with the latest technology; from moving tables with built in laptop chargers to white board walls. Students and faculty were excited to spend time in these new areas and everyone has enjoyed it.

    Chinese New Year

    Gong Xi Fa Cai! On Thursday, January 28th, Beaver Country Day celebrated the Chinese New Year. Jess Ferreira  (‘14) and Alex Woo-Rainer (‘11) led a presentation and educated the community about the year of the dragon.  This is the most auspicious year; as dragons symbolize dominance and ambition, are driven and unafraid of challenges. These are traits to which any student would aspire.
